What
is a Webinar and how does it work?
Webinars
are seminars that are given over the Internet. To participate,
you are given a website link and login, as well as a phone number
to dial, and then you are able to view the desktop of the person
who is presenting the webinar and listen to their presentation
over your phone line. If you have VOIP,
then you can listen to the webinar over your computers speakers.
The webinars are a combination of Powerpoint slides and live demonstrations
of various websites. There is an interactive component of Q&A
that is reserved for the end of the webinar.
The
technology is simple, safe, and effective. The best part is that
the webinar technology is good for the planet because neither
the presenter or the participants need to travel to attend the
seminar.
DIOSA
| Communications uses GoToWebinar as their webinar host. Please
view their FAQs
before registering for any of the following webinars. At minimum
you need a 56K modem, but the webinar is best viewed though a
highspeed Internet connection.
